Marketing Executive

  • Location: High Wycombe
  • Salary: £25,000

To support the international marketing team in maximising profitable sales by devising and executing marketing strategies within agreed budgets in order to achieve company objectives.

The Marketing Executive will report directly to the Head of Marketing and will work within the Marketing Department of Optima.  The role will support an international territory.

Primary Responsibilities
To create and implement an innovative, engaging range of marketing content for activities/ campaigns that will ensure a larger number and broader range of architects and designers are attracted to, and select, the company’s products and services.

To ensure all content is produced within an agreed Search Engine Optimisation strategy, including web pages, social media posts, case studies, emails and print-based copy.

Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of implemented campaign activities on a regular and ad-hoc basis, including reporting on website analytics, email activity and social media activity where required.

Duties of a Marketing Executive

  • Input to the creation and execution of an integrated, search engine optimised, content strategy.
  • Overseeing all content creation activities for Optima’s digital (and printed) channels including the website, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and email marketing.
  • Working closely with the marketing team to devise a content strategy that aligns with the company’s wider objectives.
  • Creation and management of a content marketing schedule to ensure regular content on the chosen channels throughout the year.
  • Writing entertaining and informative search engine optimised copy.  This will include writing/ editing technical blogs, guides, and articles as well as creating social media copy in line with Optima’s chosen tone-of-voice.
  • Researching and targeting common questions, industry topics and keywords to base the strategy, content and articles around.
  • Keeping up to date with industry best practice and monitoring content activities of competitor websites.
  • Repurposing content for different mediums including website, social media and video as well as for printed formats when required.
  • Creation of entertaining and informative video content.
  • Structuring and updating all sections of the website including homepage and all other categories.

Background of the ideal Marketing Executive

  • Fully conversant with SEO techniques
  • Has experience of writing for the web
  • Highly articulate with an excellent command of written English.
  • Creative minded with an ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content.
  • Previous experience working as a content creator or copywriter
  • Ideally degree educated from English, Marketing or Journalism
  • Some knowledge of social media content creation desirable
