Our environmental influences

There are several ways we work to benefit the environment as well as encouraging our brilliant employees to take that step further in contributing to a sustainable future.

The Florence Nightingale Recycling Box:

Thank you to all our employees who are contributing to ‘The Florence Nightingale Recycling Box’. Supporting a local charity, ‘The Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity’ (FNHC), we have been donating items we no longer need into a branded FNHC recycling box. Items such as toners, ink cartridges, CD’s and old mobile phone have been collected to be turned into money. This money is then used to brighten the lives of those with terminal life-limiting illnesses. 

Cartridge forest tree planting

This is an initiative where we trade in our printer cartridges to reduce our carbon footprint. Every cartridge donated will see one tree planted. This is a great initiative allowing for many benefits from one single donation.  As a result, 200 trees have been planted so far.  A great advancement in building a sustainable future!

National FSC Awareness Day

On 27 September 2019, the Forest Stewardship Council hosted FSC Friday: an annual event designed to raise awareness about responsible forest management and products. We celebrated our commitment with a cake which had our official FSC promotional label on. This is a day in which we show our support for the Forest Stewardship Council and their principles.  All our timber products are FSC certified.
