For this major London law firm, creating a workplace that minimised the firm’s environmental impact whilst supporting the well-being of their employees was essential. Alongside architects Sheppard Robson and main contractor ISG we created a modern and attractive fit-out. Installed extensively across twelve floors, our glass partitions created a stylish design that also delivers outstanding acoustic privacy throughout.
Acoustic privacy was a key design requirement for this law firm’s new office in the capital. With this in mind, we installed a number of our acoustic glass partitioning systems throughout the design.
Our popular Revolution 100 double glazed partitions were utilised to build a variety of different spaces within the design. By incorporating this high performing acoustic system, we created a collection of private spaces that surround the communal working areas. From large meeting rooms to private offices and focus rooms, this sleek glass partition brings an elegant aesthetic to the office. Furthermore, this system offers an impressive acoustic rating of up to Rw51dB with 2×12.8mm acoustic laminate glass. As a result, our acoustic glass partitions deliver the ideal sound privacy needed for this London law firm. We also installed transom glass Tech Panels outside the various meeting and focus rooms on each of the floors. The slim-line system provides a functional tool that couples well with the sleek design of the office.
Privacy throughout these confidential spaces was enhanced through the addition of back painted glass. The Telegrey finish not only adds a unique translucent effect but it also provides visual privacy to these areas. As a result, our glass partitions offer high acoustic performance as well as delivering a distinctive and practical design feature.
Designing an office that focused strongly on minimising their environmental impact and sustainability was key for this law practice. Located in the heart of the city, this contemporary fit-out includes several environmental design features. The office is run–on renewable electricity and fully integrated with several energy-efficient features such as LED lighting. With such a key focus on sustainability, this fit-out produces a workspace that is fit for the future. By taking an environmentally-conscious approach, this design has been awarded a BREEAM excellent sustainability rating. This inspiring office design also won a SKA Gold rating, highlighting its success as a sustainable project.
Equally as important, we installed a number of our doors and screens all through this elegant fit-out. We integrated our Edge Affinity double glazed doors in many of the private offices and meeting rooms, further enhancing acoustic privacy. This high performing door provides a striking solution that complements the beautiful design of the office. Achieving up to Rw41dB, this acoustic glass door provides a stunning and functional addition, delivering outstanding acoustic performance. Axile Pulse doors were also installed on each floor, providing a clean transition between the different areas of the office. In particular, the frameless system creates an elegant entrance to the office, leading to a warm, sophisticated reception.
In addition, we installed several screens around the office, creating a variety of open plan spaces. Communal break out dining areas and the print hub are built up of our Revolution 54 Plus double glazed partitions. With excellent acoustic performance and aesthetic appeal, this popular system effortlessly breaks up the office whilst allowing light to flow freely through the space. As a result, it offers people a variety of spaces to get away from the buzz of the office.
