For Circle Housing, one of the UK’s largest providers of affordable homes, a new central London office space provided the opportunity to consolidate staff, bringing them all together under one roof. To create a unique office space, designed to reflect a domestic setting, Optima provided a number of beautifully designed glass partitioning solutions which serve to create an agile, modern workplace.
2 Pancras Square, Kings Cross, London
The vibrant new office, located at 2 Pancras Square in the heart of the King’s Cross redevelopment, feature an array of interesting features including a key space known as ‘The Home’. Serving as the key breakout space, it provides staff with a relaxed and informal area for work or casual discussions, meeting the client’s desire for a more collaborative and agile office environment.
Optima was specified by renowned architects, Scott Brownrigg, to design and install glass partitions for the innovative new workplace. The reception area features a striking Optima-designed single glazed partition which is penetrated by the reception desk. Our technical expertise and precise installation ensured that the 12mm thick heat soak toughened glass screen performed effectively and was kept in line with the high standard of the fit-out.
For the more formal meeting spaces, Optima’s glass partitions enhanced the light and airy feel of the new workplace. Our elegant Revolution 54 double glazed system was specified with acoustic laminated glass for maximum sound performance. Discreet NebulaTM dry joints between the glass panels complemented the clean lines and crisp detailing of the overall scheme, whilst our single glazed Axile Clarity doors with bespoke Quad pivots were the perfect addition to the spacious, welcoming, and ‘non-corporate’ environment.
With the staff now at home in their impressive new setting, Optima has made a significant contribution to a distinctive workplace and one that will no doubt result in a happier and more productive workforce.
