Theme and colour

Firstly, each wall in the reception area cleverly interprets the same diamond pattern slightly differently. Perhaps the most prominent is the gold and timber wall. The diamond pattern gives a sense of flow, using large and small diamonds spanning the area creating an impressively eye-catching feature wall. In addition, the stately gold wall and dark timber diamond frame contrast in colour, yet work seamlessly in creating a unique and impressive work of art. Visible from the entrance is our Revolution 54 system with Edge Affinity doors which separate the attractive meeting rooms from the hallway. Most importantly, the acoustic laminated glass provides a level of privacy.

Similarly, within the reception area, the dark tones of the ceiling, give the illusion of a bigger space. The design contrasts the light coloured timber floor and stone fixtures. Using hints of green in the protective glassworks on the reception desk, HLW successfully contrast shades of light and dark.

Meeting room

Best of all, the use of timber brings the theme to life. The colour of the deep wood gives the office a sense of class and elegance. A clever design choice by HLW International. In addition to being a main component of the theme, the Revolution 54  system with Edge Affinity doors was also set within a border of timber panelling.

Understandably, the Revolution 54 system provides functionality and aesthetic value. Firstly, the Revolution 54 system looks sleek, inset into dark-timber panel joinery. Secondly, the design promotes practicality. Revolution 54 achieves an impressive Rw45dB with two layers of 12.8mm thick acoustic laminated glass. Furthermore, the Edge Affinity door is acoustically rated achieving Rw42dB in its double glazed form. Consequently, this system contributes to a quiet, focused and attractive working space.

Additional personalisation

In addition, a gold mesh has been fitted within the panels of the Revolution 54 system. Obviously, this is another way of integrating the overall theme. Furthermore, the mesh works dynamically in giving a translucent view into the office. Seamlessly united with the existing theme, the gold/bronze tinted mesh works to enhance the surrounding timber panel joinery.

Doors

Equally important, the Edge Affinity door suits the gold and timber wall which extends from the reception area. Moreover, this attractive door, with powder coated black frame works well with the timber joinery. The door uses Shoreditch Edition handles, giving a bolder aesthetic to the door frame.

These doors are not only an aesthetic triumph, they also provide a high acoustic value when compared to other single glazed doors. HLW specified these doors knowing they can achieve an impressive acoustic rating of Rw39dB.
