Innovation is a key part of how Sky Scanner works, so creating a dedicated space where teams can collaborate and brainstorm new ideas was crucial. With this in mind, they created an Innovation Lounge which serves as a hub for cultivating groundbreaking ideas and pioneering solutions. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, flexible workstations, acoustic meeting rooms, and quiet pods this space stimulates curiosity and empowers employees to unleash their creative potential.

Outstanding acoustic performance and striking aesthetics with Revolution 54 Plus glass partitions

The outstanding acoustic performance, aesthetic appeal and adaptable nature of Revolution 54 Plus double glazed partitions make it the ideal solution for Sky Scanner’s new HQ. Creating a striking aesthetic throughout that showcased their brand and promoted the best working environment for employees was key for Sky Scanner. Revolution 54 Plus Shoreditch Edition glass partitions add a visual flair that performs acoustically, hitting the design brief perfectly.

Furthermore, Kinetic Align sliding doors were seamlessly installed alongside the double glazed partitioning systems. This single glazed framed sliding door adds a unique space-saving addition to the design that also performs well acoustically. Achieving up to Rw36dB this 12mm glass door system strengthens the acoustic performance of the Wellness Room and other areas. The installation of the sliding glass door allows Sky Scanner to maximise the space within these well-being areas, promoting a healthier working environment.

Improving the work environment with acoustic glass partitions

Achieving up to Rw46dB with two layers of 12.8mm thick acoustic laminated glass, Revolution 54 Plus double glazed partitions bolster the acoustic privacy within the Innovation Lounge and several other spaces across the office. Installed across levels 5 and 6 of the office, this high-performance glass partitioning solution perfectly divides the floor plan whilst maintaining an open feel. Sky Scanner’s dynamic Soho HQ showcases the true adaptable characteristics of Revolution 54 Plus, utilised in a variety of different spaces across the office. From the Innovation Lounge and Wellness Room to individual office and meeting room spaces, this multifunctional system is the ideal solution where acoustic and design performance cannot be compromised.

Adding acoustic solutions with glass doors 

Edge Symmetry double glazed doors further enhance the acoustic performance of Sky Scanners’ HQ. Installed extensively across the office in both single and double door leaf options, this high-performance acoustic solution delivers up to Rw41dB. Not only does Edge Symmetry deliver impressive acoustic ratings but it adds a striking aesthetic feature. Flawlessly integrating into the design, this acoustic door enhances the functionality, visual appeal and performance of the workspace.  

Visual privacy meets bespoke visual design

To improve visual privacy across the office and introduce a unique design element, we applied aluminium solid panels to the bottom third of the Revolution 54 Plus systems. A Silk Grey powder-coat finish applied to all our systems brightens the entire office and adds a touch of sophistication. Leading off from the central communal areas, the solid panels applied to our systems provide a greater level of visual privacy within each of the areas. The combination of solid and glass panels allows natural light to flood the different workspaces and create a sense of openness whilst maintaining impressive acoustic privacy throughout. This fantastic feature of our glass partitions is highlighted in the Wellness Room. The space provides employees with the opportunity to recharge their energy, fostering employee well-being and harmony. Not only do the solid aluminium panels provide additional privacy but they add a unique design aspect to the space.

The successful collaboration between us, MCM and BW Interiors has resulted in a workspace that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, nurturing innovation and well-being for everyone at Sky Scanner. Our high-performance, striking and adaptable glass partitions and doors have played a pivotal role in this remarkable transformation.
