Viasat + Inmarsat’s new headquarters at 50 Finsbury Square redefines the workplace as a strategic node in the company’s global communications network. Designed by leading architecture practice TP Bennett, the space unites high-performance design with forward-thinking technology to support a new era of hybrid collaboration.
As a pioneer in satellite communications, Inmarsat understands that connection is more than signal strength – it’s about clarity, continuity, and human interaction. Optima’s role in the project was to support that mission: crafting seamless spatial divisions that foster privacy and focus while preserving transparency and flow.

ArchitectTP Bennett
The architectural vision centred on adaptability, flow, and visual clarity – values that align closely with our own design philosophy. Working in close partnership with TP Bennett, we delivered a suite of glazed partitioning systems engineered to enhance acoustic performance, enable spatial legibility, and elevate the overall material expression of the interior.
Our installation included: Revolution 54 Plus DG – A premium double-glazed partitioning system offering exceptional acoustic insulation and ultra-precise detailing. Designed for minimal visual interruption, it supports both high-spec functional zones and open-plan cohesion. Tech Panels – Custom-engineered to discreetly house integrated technology and workplace infrastructure, maintaining clean lines and preserving visual rhythm throughout the space. Edge Affinity DG Doors – Elegantly framed double-glazed doors with lever handles, specified to align with surrounding systems and enhance the intuitive movement between zones.
We applied a bespoke Alchemy powder coat finish to deliver a warm, subtly metallic aesthetic – balancing technical sophistication with tactile warmth that reflects Inmarsat’s brand ethos. In other zones, TP Bennett specified RAL 7021, a deep architectural grey that complements the structural framework and offers a refined contrast to the glazed systems.
Optima’s solutions were fundamental in supporting the performance, clarity, and experience of the workplace. The result is a spatial environment that mirrors the ethos of satellite communication itself: intelligent, interconnected, and engineered for precision.
As Inmarsat continues to connect the world, their new London HQ becomes a physical expression of that mission – designed to keep people, ideas, and innovation in perfect orbit.
