MCM Studios: A case study in sustainability and collaboration

Crafting private breakout spaces with excellent acoustic control

The project involved installing high-performance partitions and doors to establish three specialised phone booth-type pods for private client calls and two state-of-the-art meeting rooms.

The Revolution 54 Double Glazed Partition – Shoreditch Edition system offered the perfect solution for the discreet division of the office space, providing acoustic and visual privacy while allowing natural light through. Featuring a T-bar framework, the system ensured both structural stability and acoustic performance while boosting aesthetic design.

To optimise acoustic privacy, these partitions were installed alongside Edge Symmetry Double-Glazed Doors. Renowned for their slim profile and superb acoustic performance, these doors were crucial in creating quiet, sound-isolated spaces within the bright, dynamic MCM offices.

Optima Systems coordinated closely with Contractor, EC1 Build, and joinery contractor, Nested Living (formerly KiteCreative), to ensure seamless integration and precise tolerances throughout the build.

This partnership exemplified how effective collaboration can lead to outstanding results in both performance and environmental impact.

Surpassing client expectations

The project’s outcome surpassed MCM’s expectations. They praised the smooth installation and significantly improved acoustics. Notably, the sustainable aspects of Optima’s solutions resonated strongly with MCM’s eco-conscious values.
