Collaboration with kings

Conveniently located the building spans 52,000 Sq Ft of office space and is situated in the heart of the King’s Cross redevelopment. Above all, HLW’s vision was to create a modern, dynamic and inspiring workplace. Overall, this reflects the collaborative nature of the client’s industry. Together with main contractors, Como, we created a variety of spaces which encourage collaboration and reinforce the organisation’s youthfulness.

Things start meshing together

Firstly, meeting the architect’s brief, we designed and installed a series of single-glazed partitions and doors. With privacy as a key requirement, we subsequently created a number of rooms for meetings and confidential conversations. Many of the glass screens throughout the four-storey building incorporate a bespoke and distinctive mesh interlayer. Consequently, this results in a dual-purpose, aesthetically-pleasing solution that provides a sense of visual privacy.  As well as providing privacy, the striking mesh interlayer also reinforces the brand throughout the larger open plan areas.

In addition, our technical knowledge and acoustic expertise was also called upon for the 8th floor studios. Particularly the rooms which required an exceptional level of sound control. Consequently, our vast experience of high acoustic specialist glazing gave the project team complete peace of mind that the performance criteria could be met.

A splash of colour

Moreover, installing our Optima 117 Plus systems with the additional feature of a blue partition frame, enhanced the original design. This stylish addition brings a new dynamic to the system making our partition a feature, displaying personality with functionality. PRS for Music’s quirky theme is only reinforced by this bespoke quality. Furthermore, the furnishings inside the office have been installed to suit the colour of our partition. In addition to providing an impressive acoustic value of Rw33dB, our partition effectively sets a theme for this specific meeting room.

We also installed our blue framed Edge Symmetry door to match our blue partition frames. Edge Symmetry sits seamlessly with Optima 117 Plus systems as a microflush pivoting door. Furthermore, providing a high acoustic value, our blue glass door perfectly matches the rest of the space.

Working to a new beat

In addition, our glass partitions have helped create a spacious and dynamic workplace. As well as meeting aesthetic needs, we also fulfilled the technical requirements of the architect and client. Our design and manufacturing expertise led to the successful delivery of a project. This enables PRS for Music’s current and future workforce to embrace the youthful and creative vitality of the business.
