Sean began his career in the interior fit out industry in 1987 with ceiling manufacturer SAS Ltd, as an assistant Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor. After 7 years he began working as a Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor for HL Smith; a cornerstone of the original Optima Group.

After a short time, Sean moved over to Cirus Ltd – another Group company. Making his mark from the off, he was promoted to Team Leader and then to Divisional Director, which enabled him to progress into the role of Operations Director for Optima Contracting Ltd.

Drawing on his previous fit out experience, Sean was next to become Divisional Managing Director of the Optima Special Works Division. Here, his leadership has contributed to the impressive growth of this part of the Optima Group, with an increase in turnover from £3m to £7m.

Sean now resides as a Group Board Director and is responsible for HSQE and Product Development – two very central aspects of Optima. As an individual, Sean is committed to achieving quality and is also dedicated to bringing new young blood into the company, as it continues to grow and enjoy huge success.
