Stunning bronze metal frames house our partitions in Varde’s new London offices

Location

In the centre of London, near the iconic Piccadilly Circus, is St James.  The Westminster district forms part of the world-renowned West End, known for its dazzling theatre performances and entertainment. Pre-dating that, renovated areas have found parts of a parish dating back to the 1600’s. Nowadays, the area is bustling with life, playing home to some of the biggest actors, chefs and businesses of the last 100 years. Varde Partners have based their headquarters in St James’ market, a commercial and business hub of the district.

Colour

Firstly, KKS Strategy designed a set of offices that ooze timeless style, whilst taking inspiration from the Art Deco movement. This is through weaving together contrasting tones of black, white and blue throughout the office. Furthermore, the design uses these colours against the light-wood timber features and flooring. These contrasting colours work in harmony through the white walls effectively acting as a canvas for the inclusion of colour. Whilst the majority of the space does boast fresh clean white walls, KKS and main contractor, Overbury has fitted artistic canvases and glass ornaments to lift the space.

Similarly, KKS Strategies design included a stunning bronze anodised-effect finish for our partitions and doors. Bronze being a favourable choice of colour when taking influence from the Art Deco style. Powder-coating in our Bath Manufacturing Facility allows us to create colour-framed partitions which are distributed across the country. We found fitting the bronze anodised-effect framed partitions added to the luxurious feel of the building – working strongly with the various shades of blue and brown.

Furthermore, we also applied a bronze anodised-effect finish to the additional feature of  Shoreditch bands. These bands work as a means of stylish customization whilst contributing to the visual privacy of the offices. We installed the bands at a lower height allowing for the use of manifestation. The mixture of deep bronze Shoreditch bands and muted manifestation contrasted beautifully, giving our partitions a grand, high-quality aesthetic.

Our partitions

KKS Strategy decided on our partitions for a number of reasons besides the infinite customisable finishes to choose from. The designers chose our Revolution 54 partition to be included on floors two and three. We installed our Revolution 54 with two layers of 12.8mm acoustic laminate. Consequently, this partition gives a great acoustic rating of up to Rw45dB. We fitted this partition to divide multiple offices across the floor, the grand style and high acoustic rating made this partition perfect for the needs of Varde Partners.

In addition to our Revolution 54, the Edge Symmetry door was installed in the corridor. This elegant glass door is finished with a matching bronze anodised-effect finish. Furthermore, manifestation spanning from the Shoreditch bands to the top of the partition was added. Providing visual privacy was imperative in this space as the areas split off forming board rooms and meeting rooms. The Edge Symmetry door, whilst single glazed, reaches a high acoustic rating of Rw35dB. 

Collaboration

In short, collaboratively, we have installed an office to be proud of. Working with KKS Strategy and Overbury we have made an office bursting with personality, updating the Art Deco style with modernist features and bright colours. We fitted partitions which are as dynamic in acoustic functionality as aesthetics. Installing our partitions to heighten the original design, adapting to the requirements of the client and exceeding expectations in professionalism.
